Esterillos has abundant wildlife with the flocks of most birds increasing locally. You can see Scarlet Macaws on the beaches where they gather with the flock or feasting on the almonds growing along the shore. You can see turtles in the water and often on shore making their nests. Esterillos has white-faced monkeys, toucans, sloughs, squirrel monkeys and many other species of monkeys, birds and parrots often seen playing in the trees.
